they are many different ways to get a job or to get hired and there are 2 popular methods which are called Internal Recruitment and External Recruitment.

Internal Recruitment Advantages

    • Quicker and Easier to recruit people
    • People already are familiar with the business and how it operates
    • Provides opportunities for promotion with in the business and it also can be motivating

Internal Recruitment Disadvantages

  • Limited number of applicants
  • No new idea on the outside of the business
  • May cause resentment amongst candidates

External Recruitment Advantages

  • Some of the people that just got recruited can bring in some different ideas which the business did not think of.
  • Makes it more expensive because the business have to make advertisements and interviews.
  • it process may not be effective to pick the best candidate

Examples of looking for a job

  • Local Job centre - Job Centres get paid by the government to help people who are unemployed to get a job or get training and it is free for people to use
  • search job sites on the internet - www.jobsite.co.uk
  • Ask Around 
  • Local Newspaper - Evening Gazette and The Guardian 
  • Local Radio - BBC Tees
  • Personal Recommendation - from tutors from school or college or from a colleague at work a assessment is needed but it saves money on advertising 
  • Recruitment Agency - Recruitment Agency work for a fee and specialized in jobs like nurses and becoming teachers or going into the  financial services.
  • Networking Events - Networking Event you can go to meet people who are in the certain industry that you want be in and you can ask them questions about how to get in the industry.
